Homemade Ice Cream

As I've experimented with doing some different homemade ice cream recipes I thought I'd share my favorite with you. I think I like this recipe most as it's easy to make and the taste is great! I've tried some recipe's with egg in as well but they usually are more trouble to make and it never taste very ice creamy (as I would like ice cream to taste). I found the recipe on Little Eco Footprint's blog.

Just mix into a blender or food processor 4 frozen bananas (it's easier if you peel them before you freeze them), 2 heaped tablespoons of natural yoghurt, 2 teaspoons of cocoa, and 2 teaspoons of honey.


Mix until smooth.

 Enjoy! (with chokobits on top if you like)

  2. Oh YUM! After you blend everything together, do you freeze it again? I've just recently discovered frozen bananas (I know ... how have I missed them). They are so good and refreshing! But oh, adding cocoa, yogurt & honey ... mmmm! I'm guessing I could use vegan yogurt & agave syrup (or some other vegan sweetener) and it would turn out just as great! Thanks for the recipe ... can't wait to try it! :-)

    1. No need to freeze it again, it will have just the right creamy feel to it if you serve it straight away. I was also thinking of trying agave syrup instead of honey, I'm sure it could work! I hope you like it :-)
